Paratriathlon and Deaf triathlon categories
The EBERL Chiemsee Triathlon will host the German Championships Paratriathlon Olympic Distance 2020.
The Deaf triathlon category will be included in the Beginners Distance race. For information on rules, courses and much more, please look at the respective page of the race-distance.
Registration for the race can be found at our timing service partner under “Para- and Deaf Triathlon”. In the result list, Para triathletes and Deaf triathletes are listed separately in the races stated above. Of course Para- and Deaf triathletes are welcome to race any of our other categories. Please contact us for more information.
Wheelchair athletes complete a “run” course slightly different. Information on this can be found below.
Information for deaf athletes
For the entire race weekend, you and we will be assisted by interpreters. You can find them during opening times of the registration at the race office. During the competition preparations, they will be in the transition zone, as well as during and after the races at the finish line area.
In order to make hearing athletes realize that you do react to acoustic signals, we will be giving you a special start number. Our spectators then also know that they have to raise their hands to cheer!
In case of questions
Contact our volunteers. They are happy to help you or will inform the sign language interpreter.
Information for Para triathletes
We try to select our race course and the associated competition venues barrier-free. Race office, transition zone, finish line area and other important places should be easily accessible. If there are difficulties nevertheless, our volunteers or our race directors will be happy to help you. You can reach via phone: 0160-99818269.
Support during the race
If you have no companion to support, we will gladly provide you with a volunteer. Please contact us in advance via e-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org
Course Wheelchair Athletes
For wheelchair athletes, the “running” course slightly differs from the usual course. Details on swimming and cycling courses can be found on the respective pages of the offered distances.
Starting at the transition area, turn right on the “run” course. For a short time the course follows the brook, then you have to take a 160 ° turn. A quite narrow section with gravel underground brings you to the clinic Alpenhof. Just before you reach the asphalt, you have to take a narrow left-right combination. You now reached the out-and-back part – a wide asphalt road towards Stöttham. In Stöttham the turnaround leads around a traffic island with a tree. Back in Chieming, you can pass the loop count on your right and ignore it. Shortly thereafter, you’ll find the turn on street width. Please pay attention to your pace – you’ll come downhills.
For wheelchair athletes, we provide a bike escort service. Your companion will be waiting for you shortly after the transition zone and will ensure, among other things, that the runners who share the route with you will stay to the right. If you do not like it, let us know.
We are happy to show you the route in advance. Please contact us at
